Milford Woman - Bridgeport Teacher - Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Student Resigns: UPDATE

The teacher resigned shortly after she was arrested on a sexual assault charge.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Laura Ramos, 31, of Pond Point Avenue in Milford, who is accused of sexually assaulting a special education student has resigned as a teacher at Central High School in Bridgeport, the Connecticut Post reports.

Ramos resigned just as the school district had begun termination proceedings, the Post reports. She is charged with second-degree sexual assault of an 18-year-old student, police said. The victim was a student in the special education program, the Post reports.

According to police, Ramos allegedly admitted to having a sexual relationship with the victim over a five-month period of time.
