Milford's Lawmakers Want to Hear from You

Recently, state representatives, Charles Ferraro, Kim Rose and Pam Staneski held office hours.

MILFORD- State Reps. Charles Ferraro (R-117), Kim Rose (D-118) and Pam Staneski (R-119) were pleased to hold a successful session of Saturday morning office hours at the Milford Library last month, according to a press release.

A couple dozen Milford residents braved the arctic temperatures to attend the legislative office hours at the library to meet their legislators.

Rep. Staneski said in a prepared statement, “I couldn’t be more thrilled to be joined by such a great group of well-informed residents who came prepared with insightful questions and comments regarding state and town matters.”

Some of the topics discussed at the office hours included tolls, jobs, burdensome state taxes, fixing the state’s affordable housing laws, education, and the Governor’s sales tax plan.

Rep. Charles Ferraro said in a prepared statement, “I will happily take all the residents’ feedback with me to Hartford as we begin reviewing and writing the state budget.”

Rep. Rose said in a prepared statement, “It is always a pleasure to talk to constituents and learn about what matters most to them. Establishing strong relationships with the people we serve and understanding their needs is fundamental to our work. I thank everyone who stopped by to share their concerns. I will continue to work diligently on their behalf.”
