Motorcyclist Obstructed Emergency Vehicle: Milford Police
A woman has been arrested in connection with the "street takeover" in which 300 dirt bikes, ATVs, and motorcycles drove through Milford: PD
MILFORD, CT — A New Haven woman faces several charges in connection with the “street takeover” incident in Milford in July, according to police.
Police said around 300 dirt bikes, ATVs, and motorcycles drove through Milford around 7 p.m. on July 8 and caused “many traffic delays and violations.”
A female motorcyclist was seen traveling west on the Boston Post Road “going through red lights and crossing traffic lanes without signaling,” according to police.

At the same time, police said officers were trying to respond to a motor vehicle evading accident that was caused by a member of the large group.
Police said the woman “stopped her bike in front of the police car operating as an emergency vehicle and directed other riders around her car so the police car could not get to the scene of the accident.”

Investigators identified the motorcyclist as Nashaly Vega-Vega, according to police.
Vega-Vega, 24, who turned herself in on an arrest warrant on Sept. 18, was charged with six counts of improper signal, two counts of failure to drive right, two counts of failure to obey traffic control signal, and one count each of reckless driving, illegal obstruction of an emergency vehicle, and improper mirrors.
She was released on a promise to appear in court on Oct. 17.
