New Details On An Awful Week Of Weather In Connecticut
Connecticut's odd winter continues with an up and down forecast and several precipitation chances and a big temperature change this week.
CONNECTICUT — It's shaping up to be another awful week of weather in Connecticut. We can expect lots of clouds, and lots of rain chances and even a chance for more sleet and possibly snow away from the Connecticut coast.
It's also another week of weather where Connecticut won't see a classic snowstorm. If you love winter, this hasn't been ideal for you, though Litchfield County saw some minor accumulating snow this morning.
The only two days this week where there won't be rain, sleet or snow is on Wednesday and Friday. Both days will feature sun. The best chance for some sleet and snow this week is Wednesday night into Thursday, but just plain rain on the coast.

For Monday, the National Weather Service says to expect "Plenty of clouds along with soggy conditions can be expected. Intermittent light rain is forecast along with temperatures in the 30s and 40s today. A gusty southwest wind will diminish late today as the front nears.
"For tonight, the cold front will slowly sag to the south of Long Island. Clouds remain and intermittent light rain will continue. Temperatures fall slightly and hold in the 30s and 40s."

More light rain is expected Tuesday and late Wednesday more rain is forecast on the coast and interior and northern sections of the state may see a mix of sleet and snow but no real accumulation is expected.
More rain is expected throughout Thursday before we dry out Thursday night. We'll also notice a big change in temperatures Thursday night. Temps will plummet into the teens and on Friday the high temperature will only be in the 20s and the low temp on Friday night is forecast to be in the single digits. At least it will feel like winter on Friday.
