New Details, Timeline For Today's Stormy Weather In CT
Local meteorologists and the National Weather Service have provided new details and a timeline for the expected heavy rain Saturday.

CONNECTICUT — A rainstorm is moving into Connecticut today and the heaviest rain is forecast from this afternoon right up until midnight. Most places will see over an inch of rain. Initially, there was concern that snow and ice may mix in, but the temps are too warm and the precipitation will be all rain.
The good news about this storm is that it will race right by us and it sets the stage for a very nice Sunday with sunshine and temps into the mid 40s.
A hazardous weather outlook has been issued by the National Weather Service for the coast of Fairfield and New Haven county for coastal flooding concerns from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Good morning everyone.. We are still dry this morning so a good time to get your Saturday chores in. Rain will begin early to mid afternoon with the heaviest rain between 4-10 pm. This storm will be all rain because the storm track is an inland runner then right over Ct. pic.twitter.com/NUzhS5DtbL

The National Weather Service says, "Low pressure will approach from the southwest today and pass through the area this evening. Precipitation, mostly in the form of rain, will move in this morning into the afternoon, and could begin briefly as freezing rain well north and west of New York City. Rain will become heavy at times in the afternoon and will be accompanied by a raw east wind closer to the coast."
"The rain will taper off from west to east during the first half of tonight. Mainly fair weather is expected for Sunday. Temperatures through the weekend will remain above normal," the weather service said.
