CONNECTICUT — On Sunday there was talk that Connecticut could finally see some accumulating snow later this week, but it looks like we can forget about that now.

On social media, Fox 61 Chief Meteorologist Rachel Frank said Tuesday, "Well that was fun while it lasted!! The threat for accumulating snow practically vanished on the overnight runs of most computer guidance for Friday into Saturday. Still a chance for rain/snow showers Friday PM/eve but limited impact."

WTNH News 8 Chief Meteorologist Gil Simmons added "...we are still watching that storm for Friday and Friday night that looks to be mostly out to sea. Some rain showers that may finish as a few snow showers Friday night."

Our largely snowless winter looks like it will continue indefinitely.

The National Weather Service says clouds will increase this afternoon and "(s)howers develop early this afternoon and become widespread by late afternoon. There may be a rumble of thunder late this afternoon and early this evening ... Highs will be in the mid to upper 50s."
