New Hotel And Shopping Center Approved In Milford: Report

The developer is still waiting for a vote on a large-scale apartment complex, which is part of the project plans.

MILFORD, CT — Metro 150 LLC, which is owned by Robert H. Smith Jr. of Milford received approval from the Planning and Zoning Board for a 125-room four-story hotel and a 60,000-square-foot shopping center on Route 1 bordering Plains Road, the Milford Mirror reports.

However, no vote was taken yet on Smith's plans for a 168-unit apartment complex. The vote on the apartment plan will occur at the 7:30 p.m. July 5 meeting at City Hall. The hotel will be located at 100-110 Plains Road and the shopping center is planned for 150-184 Boston Post Road.

The apartments, if approved, would be constructed on 92 and 100 Plains Road. The 168 apartments would be located in nine three-story buildings near Bona Street, the Mirror reports. The apartments include 104 one-bedroom units, 52 two-bedroom units and 12 efficiency units.
