New Store Opens At Milford Mall

MILFORD, CT — It's not everyday that a mall gets to announce a new store these days but that is what the Connecticut Post Mall did.

"NEW STORE ALERT... Welcome to Soko Toys. Creative toys for creative minds. Come visit them located on the upper level next to Forever 21," the mall posted on its social media.

What are they? According to their website they will be "carrying building blocks and Lego toys! We have everything from Military and Princess Play Sets to remote control and display cars all built out of blocks as well as Discontinued Lego Sets and Figures! I encourage everyone who can to stop in and spread the word. Social distancing and masks will be strictly enforced by both us and the mall! I hope to see many of you there!"

There is also a live auction every Sunday on their social media page beginning at 5 p.m.

The mall owners are currently trying to get the city of Milford to approve their plans for a 300-unit luxury apartment complex on the mall grounds. Mall officials say the development is key to their future as more and more retailers are closing for good.
