Obituary: Brad C. Smith, 47, of Milford

Brad C. Smith, 47, of West Haven, formerly of Milford, passed away suddenly November 24, 2017. Brad was born in Milford, April 23, 1970, son of Judy Smith and the late Donald Smith.

His true passion was as a mechanic where he enjoyed fixing many cars at work and as a hobby. He also enjoyed fishing and loved all creatures and was known to all his family and friends as a very generous, loving, and caring person.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his sisters Theresa Phelan and her husband Daniel of Milford and Jennifer Smith of Milford, his nieces and nephews Zachary Phelan, Shannon Perry and her mother Sheri, Brody and Sophia Perry and their mother Ariel, his dear friend Kimberly Sandman, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was also a great uncle to Max and Josie. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his brother Joseph Perry, his maternal grandmother June Randazo, and his paternal grandparents Breton and Martha Smith.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, Nov. 28 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Brad’s memory may be made to Bridges Community Support Services, 949 Bridgeport Ave., Milford, CT 06460.
