Obituary: Brendan “Bud” Canty, 59, of Milford

Brendan “Bud” Canty, 59, of Milford, beloved husband of Barbara Bouton Canty and proud father of Brendan “Buddy” Canty, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2018. Bud was born in Webster, MA on September 22, 1958 to the late Brendan E. and Edna Deary Canty.

Bud was a policeman, firefighter, lawyer and friend to all. He enjoyed gardening and volunteer work. Some of his happiest times were spent coaching his son and serving as Safety Director with Milford Little League. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his wife, Barbara, and son, Buddy, Bud is survived by his mother, Monica Canty; siblings, Michael (Kim) Canty, Monica Erin Canty, and Colleen (Derek) Kelleher; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Bud was predeceased by his Uncle Philip and Aunt Mary Canty.

Friends and family may call on Wednesday, February 28, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. Interment will be private.
