Obituary: Gaetano "Guy" Vitti, 61, of Milford

Gaetano “Guy” Vitti, 61, of Milford, entered into eternal rest on January 19, 2016. He was born on December 16, 1954, Settefrati, Italy to his loving parents Giovanni and the late Clelia Conetta Vitti. Guy was the owner and operator of C&G Gulf Service for 40 years.

He was also a past member of the Kiwanis and a past member of the Republican Town Committee. Along with the love he had for his job and serving the community at C&G, Guy loved his family, friends and cars.

Along with Guy’s father Giovanni, he is survived by his wife Mary Mandel, his brother Antonio “Tony” Vitti and his wife Michele of Orange, his sister Maria Reynolds of Orange, his nieces Stephanie Roberts and her husband Russell, Annaliese Reynolds and Julia Vitti, and his nephews John Vitti and Philip Reynolds.

Guy is also survived by his mother-in-law Helena Mandel, sisters-in-law; Helen Canepari and her husband Michael, Christine Pagliano and her husband John and Teresa Miller and her husband Brian and brother-in-law Ted Mandel and his wife Susana and their extended family. Guy was predeceased by his mother Clelia, his brother-in-law Robert, and his father-in-law Walter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday January 22, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Ann Church 501 Naugatuck Ave. Milford, CT 06460. Interment will follow at King’s Highway Cemetery Cherry St. Milford. Friends and family are invited to call TODAY Thursday January 21, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME 107 Broad St. Milford, CT 06460. In lieu of flowers, donations in Guy’s honor may be made to Rape Crisis Center of Milford.
