At SCSU, Megan was a force to be reckoned with in her sorority and campus community. Students could often find Megan wearing the loudest and boldest of fashionable looks while singing at functions or dancing through New Haven with her Savage Squad Sorority Family.
Outside of school, Megan was passionate about providing a quality customer experience for her clients at Tri-City Appliance where she worked for nearly five years as their marketing coordinator.

Megan’s greatest pleasures included eating Mickey Mouse ice cream bars on Main Street USA in her favorite Minnie Mouse ears, karaoke drives in her Jeep Grand Cherokee, cackling sass over the phone with her Aunts Teri, Margaret, and Kathleen, and traveling throughout Europe where she found her love for Amsterdam while walking alongside the canals and immersing herself within the culture of the city.
At home, Megan felt most comfortable and confident in the kitchen, where her laughter was contagious, recipes crafted anew, and food made plentiful for all around the table. With her clarity and grit, Megan was no stranger to adversity. She often used her unique voice to uplift and connect others through fierce advocation of standing for what is right often expressed through the power of music.
As a self-taught piano player and vocalist, her “fight song” guided and challenged her family and friends to live unabashedly unconventional, never conforming to the norm. Her legacy is the power of our diversity; she will forever glow in the beating hearts of our connections.
Megan will be greatly missed by her parents Marty and Tracy; her brother Matthew Casey; her brother and sister-in-law Michael and Blake Casey; her brother Ryan Casey; her godparents John Casey and Kathleen Casey Curran; 15 aunts and uncles; 17 cousins; and her paternal grandfather Papa John (John Casey). She is pre-deceased by her paternal grandmother Grandma NeNe (Eileen Keane Casey); and her maternal grandparents Grandma Betty and Papa Mo (Elizabeth and Morris Stemple).
