Obituary: Patricia Griswold Mraz, 56, of Milford

Patricia Griswold Mraz, age 56, of Milford, beloved wife to Jay Mraz, passed away on Saturday, January 21st, 2017 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Patti was born in New Haven on January 10, 1961 to Susan Vandernoot Griswold of Stratford and the late Robert Griswold.

She worked for many years as a bookkeeper at the Gemini Color Lab Inc. in Stratford, as well as Center Auto Supply and Monroe Turnpike Service Station. She was an avid fan of country music, in particular, Garth Brooks and attended many concerts with her close friends and daughter Alicia. As a member of St. Mary Church of Milford, she was active in the Ladies Guild and Loaves and Fishes.

Besides her father Robert, she was predeceased by her brother David, her aunt Debbie and in-laws Julius and Gloria Mraz. Along with her loving husband Jay and her mother Susan, she is survived by her daughter Alicia (Rick Sorensen), her son Vinny (Kalli Siringas), uncle Gary, sister-in-law Karen Griswold, brothers-in-law Kenny and David Mraz and her many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Calling hours are Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N Broad St., Milford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 26th at 10:30 am, directly, in St. Mary’s Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Deacon John Rigley Food Pantry, c/o St. Mary’s Church.
