A car hit a Pond Point Avenue home in November. The home's owners said the city could have prevented the crash, according to a report.

MILFORD, CT — The owners of a Milford home that was struck by an SUV in November say the city could have prevented the crash by installing a guardrail. Carol and Paul Clarizio of Pond Point Avenue told News 12 that in the 24 years living at the home, cars had crashed on the property three times.
In the Nov. 18 accident a car struck the house, which is located where Pond Point Avenue merges with Yale Avenue.
In all cases, the drivers came down Yale Avenue and went through a stop sign, the Clarizios told News 12.

The driver was injured and the home was damaged significantly. It's unclear if the Clarizios will ever be able to live there again.
Four people were home at the time of the crash. None of the occupants were injured but the house was knocked about a foot off its foundation, forcing the residents to go to a neighbor’s home that night due to the instability of the structure.
