Pasta-preneur: Gluten-Free Pasta Company Opens in Milford

DePuma's Gluten-Free Pasta recently moved to a larger space in Milford.

MILFORD, CT - A local man and experienced chef has started a gluten-free pasta company, mainly so his wife could eat it, Fox 61 reported.

John DePuma originally opened DePuma’s Gluten-Free Pasta in a small facility before recently moving to a kitchen and shipping area in Milford, according to Fox 61. His products have also now been sold in over 100 stores.

A “pasta-preneur” of sorts, DePuma decided to start the company after his wife was found to have celiac disease, The Day reported. He previously worked in restaurants in Manhattan, Greenwich and New Haven among others.
