Physician Assistants Honor Kim Rose
ConnAPA has recognized the patient advocacy of Representative Kim Rose (D-Milford).

From CT CGA: The Connecticut Academy of Physician Assistants (ConnAPA) has recognized the patient advocacy of Representative Kim Rose (D-Milford).
The group recently presented an award to Rose for her leadership in ensuring that state healthcare and insurance laws promote access to healthcare services at reasonable costs for residents of Connecticut.
“We are very appreciative of Representative Rose’s leadership in seeing that the healthcare system works for consumers and patients,” said Deanna Zimkus, president of the organization.

Physician Assistants work as an important part of the medical team in all specialties. They provide a wide array of patient services under the supervision of a medical doctor.

Rep. Rose has been a leading advocate of laws that ensure physician assistants are included in health insurance policies so they can provide seamless service to patients.

“I appreciate the good work that physician assistants do in keeping Connecticut citizens healthy,” Rep. Rose said “PA’s are well-regarded members of the medical team and I look forward to working with them in the coming year.”
Rep. Rose is serving her fourth legislative term. She is co-chair of the Women’s Caucus, House vice chair of the legislature’s Housing Committee, Assistant Majority Whip and a member of the Internship and Veterans Affairs Committees.
