Police: Milford Man Threw Rocks at a Bank, Urinated on Police Floor

Milford police say the man allegedly threw rocks at People's Bank on South Broad Street.

Milford police say they received a complaint regarding vandalism that occurred at People’s Bank on South Broad Street on Friday.

Investigation revealed that a male, later identified as Ernest Novak, 44, of Park Avenue is accused of throwing rocks at the building, causing damage to two windows valued at $1,000, police said.

Police located Novak, who was identified as the person responsible for the vandalism. Novak attempted to flee from the officers and allegedly became combative with them during his arrest, police said.

While in the booking area of the Police Department, Novak allegedly urinated on the floor. He was found to be in possession of cocaine, police said.

He was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, interfering with police, possession of narcotics, second-degree breach of peace and disorderly conduct.

He was held on $1,500.
