Police: Milford Man Trashed Hotel Room, Left Feces Behind

Milford police say they received a complaint regarding vandalism to a room at a local motel Sunday morning.

Investigation revealed that several pieces of furniture, refrigerator, television and other fixtures in the room had been broken as well as feces being left on the floor, and other areas of the room, police said.

Michael Torento, 20, of Lenox Avenue, was identified as a suspect who rented the room, which resulted in his arrest.

Police are continuing to investigate.

He was charged with first-degree criminal mischief, second-degree breach of peace and interfering with police.

Torento was released after posting $1,000 bond and is due to appear in Superior Court, Milford on March 17.
