Purse Containing $1,500 Stolen: Milford Police

MILFORD, CT — A New Haven woman, Joyce Ampley, 57, of Parmalee Avenue, is accused of "stealing a purse that contained an envelope with $1,500 inside from a city bus," Milford Police said.

Police responded to Barnes and Noble at 1375 Boston Post Road on a reported larceny on Feb. 27.

Investigation led to Ampley's arrest and she is charged with fourth-degree larceny. Her court date is scheduled for March 24.
