Registration Open For Milford Mother’s Day 5K Run/Walk

The popular event by Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus "features something for every member of the family."

MILFORD, CT — The popular Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus Mother’s Day 5K Run/Walk, 3K Fitness Walk and Kid’s Fun Run is scheduled for Sunday, May 11 starting at 7:45 am. The event features something for every member of the family, thanks to the generosity of presenting sponsor Dillion’s Services of Shelton.

The Mother’s Day event includes a timed 5K run and walk, a 3K fitness walk and a Kid’s Fun Run for children ages nine and under. The 5K and 3K courses begin and end adjacent to Bridgeport Hospital’s Milford Campus and follow picturesque waterfront streets along Seaside Avenue. Once participants cross the finish line, all are invited to stay and enjoy music, light refreshments, race announcements and awards.

Proceeds from this year’s event will support the Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus Same Day Joint Replacement Surgery Center. The Surgery Center offers a range of orthopedic surgical procedures, utilizing leading edge technology and a team of multidisciplinary specialists for patients suffering from painful or degenerative conditions of muscle, bone and joints including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and post-traumatic injuries.

Register today for this year’s Mother’s Day 5K Run, Walk, 3K Fitness Walk and Kid’s Fun Run and join in a morning of fun for the whole family! Adults 19 and older pay $35 from now until May 4, students aged 10 to 18 are $15 and kids aged nine and under participate for free. There are prizes for the top three runners in all age groups and the fastest mother-daughter and mother-son teams will also receive special prizes.
