State Representative Kim Rose (D-Milford) held a press conference with colleagues and agencies serving women’s reproductive health care needs to speak about cuts to Medicaid and Planned Parenthood at the state capitol.

"As women legislators, we are particularly concerned at the way that attempts to remove Medicaid reimbursements target women's reproductive healthcare. We stand here today alongside many of our male colleagues to send a clear message that we will be doing all we can to protect healthcare access and to support Planned Parenthood in Connecticut. This is a question of fairness and of preserving health programs that have been indispensable to the quality of life for thousands of individuals in Connecticut, and many more across the nation."
