Rep. Staneski Welcomes Girl Scouts to State Capital
CT Rep. Pam Staneski (Milford & Orange) welcomed Girl Scouts to the State Capitol in honor of the General Assembly's annual Girl Scout Day.

From the Connecticut General Assembly: State Rep. Pam Staneski (Milford & Orange) welcomed Girl Scouts from around the state to the State Capitol in honor of the General Assembly’s annual Girl Scout Day celebration, a statewide event that showcased the organization’s efforts to push for more educational opportunities for girls.
Girl Scout Day at the State Capitol on March 20th, permitted legislators to meet with local Girl Scouts about the issues they feel are most important to them.
Staneski, who is a member of the Higher Education and Employment Advancement committee talked with the young Girl Scouts about their educational aspirations and goals.

“I am grateful to have an opportunity to speak with local Girl Scout troops and share my experience as a woman in a leadership position in Hartford,” said Staneski. “It was a great conversation with these young women, since in one of my committees, the General Assembly’s Higher Education committee, we are discussing many of the issues the girls are concerned about like college affordability and employment after college.”
