Steven Seagal Launches Profanity-Laden Tirade Against Female Reporters In Newly Surfaced Audio

After several actresses and assistants publicly accused film star Steven Seagal of sexual abuse, audio of his rant against women surfaced.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A week after explosive reports accusing film star Steven Seagal of sexually harassing and assaulting women have surfaced, audio of a 1988 interview has been released in which the “Above the Law” actor can be heard calling female reporters "a bunch of f-----g dirty w----s and 'c---suckers."

During the taped interview released by DailyMailTV, Seagal described feeling duped by female reporters during the promotion of his 1988 film, “Above the Law,” saying they have given him the most trouble throughout his career.

“Well, I found that interestingly enough, the few times that I had a hard time, it was usually with women,” he told the interviewer.

When the reporter asked him if he thinks women just don't like action films, Seagal launched into a profanity-laced tirade against female reporters.

“I won't even dare tell you what I think it is. One time, I'm sure that's what it was, and another time it was just some dumb c--t that is a liar and wanted to be sensational,” he said.

According to Seagal, one particular female reporter made him feel adored, only to turn around and write a story he found objectionable.

“If I ever see her again, I'll tell her to her face I think she belongs in a zoo," he said.

"Bunch of f-----g dirty w----s!,” he said on the tape. “You sit down with this sweet little nice girl and she seems to adore you and all this and that, and you're a perfect gentleman, and you know, unbelievable…. The way you combat is by let's not ever do an interview again to show these c---suckers.”

In the wake of mega-producer Harvey Weinstein’s spectacular downfall over sexual assault and harassment allegations, Seagal is one of several men in the industry whose reputation is being threatened by revelations of alleged sexual abuse spanning decades. Last week, actresses Rae Dawn Chong and "Inside Edition's" Lisa Guerrero came forward to accuse Seagal of sexual harassment. Actress Katherine Heigl told Jimmy Kimmel that Seagal made her feel uncomfortable on set when she was just 16 years old and the action star talked about having girlfriends her age.

Several of Seagal’s assistants have accused him of sexual harassment or assault, the Washington Post reported in the scathing expose, "Steven Seagal: Drug warrior, honorary cop, alleged serial sex abuser.”

The newspaper cites one woman who accused him of holding her hostage and sexually assaulting her for six days and chasing her with a flashlight attached to a shotgun when she tried to escape. That woman sued the actor in 2010. That case was dismissed.

During the filming of “Out for Justice,” four female staffers quit after alleging sexual harassment, including one “sexual attack,” the newspaper reported.

Former Playboy model Jenny McCarthy told Movieline in 1998 that during her audition for "Under Siege 2" Seagal told her to take off her dress repeatedly until she fled in tears.

A Seagal spokesman denied McCarthy's claims to the Daily Beast. “Warner Brothers casting for the film Under Siege 2 has confirmed that Jenny McCarthy never auditioned for a role on Under Siege 2," the spokesman said. H"er claim is completely false.”

Seagal has not publicly responded to the other allegations that surfaced again this week, and Patch was unable to reach him for comment.
