Dear Members of the Milford Public Schools Community,

Find out what's happening in Milfordfor free with the latest updates from Patch.

The purpose of this letter is to notify you of some heightened security measures we’ll be taking this week. While there has been no direct threat to our schools, in an abundance of caution, we are working with the Milford Police Department on information shared that causes us to proactively increase police presence at our school buildings starting tomorrow, Tuesday, September 13, 2022.

Through the strong partnership between the Milford Public Schools and the Milford Police Department, we are actively monitoring and assessing this situation. As a reminder, we have many layers of safety and security measures and protocols in place which all work together to increase safety in our schools. The increased police presence is to include an additional layer to our safety and security protocols.

Again, the intent of this communication is to make you aware of the additional presence you will see tomorrow. To reiterate, at this time, we have no threats to the Milford Public Schools community. We will follow up with you on any updates, if needed.

As always, the safety of our students and staff is the highest priority for the Milford community.

Sincerely,
Anna M. Cutaia, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
