Serious Milford Motorcycle Crash Under Investigation [UPDATE]

A motorcyclist was thrown off his bike and suffered possible life-threatening injuries in a crash Thursday, police said.

MILFORD, CT — A person suffered possible life-threatening injuries in a motorcycle accident in Milford on Thursday afternoon, according to police.

The crash occurred on Wheelers Farms Road on Thursday at 3:22 p.m.

A police investigation found that a 32-year-old motorcyclist was driving when he locked up his rear brake. This caused him to skid about 65 feet.

The driver attempted to maintain control during the skid when "the motorcycle's floorboard/kickboard might have caught the pavement causing him to be thrown off his motorcycle onto Wheelers Farms Rd/Musket Hill Lane," police said.

The driver was treated for his injuries and taken to Bridgeport Hospital.
