Shabby Chic Additions To Your Weddng !

I am so in to recycling, reusing + repurposing. Here are a few ideas to add some shabby chic repurposed and special items to your wedding. First, we took an old door and carefully removed the panes of glass. We strung twine in rows across the door and attached the twine with push pins. A dab of hot glue was put on each push pin and a seashell was added to enhance the beachy theme of the wedding. The place cards were held in place with mini clothes pins. Next to the door was an antique wooden ironing board with instamatic cameras, chalkboards, chalk and props placed on top. As you took your place card of off the twine, you took a candid photo and put the photo where your place card had been. When the happy couple returned from their honeymoon, all of the candid photos made an awesome photo album. Next to the door were two weathered windows. The panes of glass were left in tact and behind each pane was a photograph of the couples parents, and grandparents on THEIR wedding day !
