Special Weather Statement Issued For Southern Connecticut Thursday

SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for southern Connecticut Thursday morning due to patchy ice conditions.

"Temperatures have fallen to near or below the freezing mark across southern Connecticut in the wake of a cold frontal passage. With lingering ground moisture from earlier rain and snow showers, slick spots may develop on some untreated surfaces, especially in higher elevations. Temperatures are expected to warm above freezing by mid-morning."

DANBURY - Road Work on I-84 Eastbound between Exits 2 and 4 (3.1 miles) in effect today until 3:00 pm. The left lane is closed. Reported Thursday, March 30 at 9:10 am.
