Speeding, Red Light Cameras Considered In Milford: Report

MILFORD, CT — Mayor Tony Giannattasio is calling for installing cameras and license plate readers to curb speeding and red light violations, according to Hearst Connecticut Media.

The measure will go to the Board of Aldermen at their Nov. 7 meeting.

The plan calls for placing the devices on Route 1 near the Connecticut Post Mall. The police department is also studying placing speed cameras in school zones along Orange Avenue, Gulf Street, and Merwin Avenue.
