Strong Thunderstorms Moved Through, More Storms Still Possible
The National Weather Service issued a statement in advance of storms that moved through Fairfield and New Haven counties.

12:30 p.m. Sunday UPDATE: The Special Weather and Marine statements seen below have both expired for now but more storms are still possible this afternoon.
In an 11:30 a.m. update, the National Weather Service says that a line of strong thunderstorms will affect parts of Fairfield and New Haven counties.

"At 1130 AM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Shelton to Redding to near Mahopac. Movement was southeast at 40 mph. Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail are possible with these storms."
Locations impacted include...
Bridgeport, Stamford, Norwalk, Danbury, Milford, Shelton, New Canaan, Mahopac, Newtown, Fairfield, Stratford, Trumbull, Westport, Ridgefield and Darien.

Additionally, the NWS has issued this Marine Statement too: At 1135 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 nm north of Bridgeport to 11 nm north of Norwalk Islands to 19 nm northwest of Long Neck Point, moving south at 30 knots.

Norwalk Islands, Long Neck Point, Smithtown Bay, Stamford Harbor, Port Jefferson Harbor, Captain Harbor, Cold Spring Harbor, Stratford Shoal, Huntington Bay and Bridgeport.
