Susan Procter McDonald, 85, formerly of Stratford, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026 while surrounded by her loving family. Susan was born on March 20, 1941, in Weymouth, MA to the late Gerald Procter and Greta Quinn. She was the beloved wife of William “Bill” Robert McDonald.

Susan dedicated more than 40 years to a career in continuing education, but her greatest pride was her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished every opportunity to support her children and grandchildren, and she felt especially blessed to meet her two great grandchildren. Whether hosting family holidays, cheering from the sidelines at sporting events or theater productions, or celebrating life's milestones, Susan was always present for the people she loved. She also enjoyed scrapbooking, completing word puzzles, and watching UConn basketball. Susan will be remembered for her unwavering loyalty, kindness, and generosity.

Susan is survived by her beloved children, Terri (Frank) Melchionno, Robert (Catherine) McDonald, Kelli (Jeffry) Kupson; grandchildren, Scott (Ashleigh) Melchionno, Sean (Jennifer Daltorio) Melchionno, Meghan (James) Murphy, William (Alissa) McDonald, Hannah Kupson, Andrew Kupson, and Asher Kupson. Great grandchildren: Katalina and Molly. Siblings: Michael Quinn, Dean Procter, and Linda Bratt. As well as many additional beloved family and friends. Susan is predeceased by her cherished husband Bill, sister Karen Cohee, and brother David Procter.
