Thief Punched, Spat On Mall Worker: Milford Police
Two people are accused of stealing from a mall anchor store. One of them assaulted an employee when confronted, police said.

MILFORD, CT — A woman is accused of punching and spitting on an employee at a mall anchor store after stealing hundreds of dollars' worth of merchandise, police said.
The shoplifting incident occurred Jan. 2 at the Boscov's at the Connecticut Post Mall. A woman and a man are accused of stealing $530 worth of merchandise from the store.
When a Boscov's employee confronted the pair, both of them charged at the employee. The woman then punched and spat on the employee, according to police.

The pair was charged with second-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, and breach of peace. The woman was also charged with third-degree assault.
Bond was set at $5,000. The pair is scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court on Jan. 30.
