Thunderstorms Expected In CT Today: Here's When
Don't be fooled by the beautiful weather start today as conditions are expected to change quickly in Connecticut.
CONNECTICUT — It's a beautiful, sunny morning in Connecticut and it will stay that way into the early afternoon hours. And then around mid-afternoon the clouds will roll in and then there will be a chance for thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.
Like with all thunderstorms, not everyone will get them, but there is a chance for conditions to change quickly, which could result in brief periods of heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms.
The best chance for thunderstorms is after 3 p.m. and up until midnight today. Wednesday looks amazing with sun and temps in the 60s and more rain rolls in Thursday night and Friday. Fox 61 Meteorologist Rachel Frank said this will be the ninth Friday in a row where Connecticut has seen rain.

And the forecast for Mother's Day looks unclear at the moment. There is a chance for both rain and sun on Sunday. It does seemingly rain every Sunday in Connecticut.
WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons says, "good weather right through early afternoon today with high temperatures in the 60s to low 70s. I would like you to take your umbrella for some showers and thunderstorms between 4 and 8 PM. Clearing skies tomorrow with sunshine a few clouds and high temperatures in the 60s. Lawn mowing weather tomorrow! Cloudy skies chilly temperatures Thursday before light rain moves in on Friday."
