Strong Thunderstorms Possible Tuesday: CT Weather
After an amazing weather holiday weekend, the weather forecast for Connecticut is taking a big turn for the worse.
CONNECTICUT — Rain and possibly strong-to-severe thunderstorms will move in later today and temps will plummet to give us more of a fall-feel but I doubt anyone is complaining after the gorgeous Memorial Day holiday weekend weather we experienced.
After experiencing a cold and dreary spring thus far, we were finally able to enjoy an almost perfect-like weather weekend in Connecticut but that will abruptly change Tuesday. For today, showers will develop in the afternoon and continue through the evening and there is a chance for thunderstorms later today too. Temps will fall from the mid 70s to the mid 50s later today too.
More showers and thunderstorms are also possible on Wednesday afternoon and evening too. Thursday also looks unsettled too. Friday and Saturday look great while rain may return on Sunday.

WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons says "Plan on some rain from time to time arriving later this morning through the afternoon! A chilly feel all day with temperatures only in the 50s to low 60s. Thunderstorms even possible this evening. Dry weather for the day tomorrow then rain returns tomorrow evening. Dry weather for the day on Thursday with rain coming back for Thursday evening. Nice weather Friday!
