'Unprecedented Tax Cuts': Milford Mayor Ben Blake
Mayor Ben Blake writes a letter explaining the city's good fortunes and why Milford is the "envy of the world."

Written by Mayor Ben Blake,
For the fourth consecutive year, Milford taxpayers will see a decrease in the amount of local taxes due. On Wednesday night, the Board of Aldermen adopted the Mayor’s budget reducing taxes for fiscal year 2019-2020. Milford’s mill rate, already lower than our neighboring communities, will be reduced even further to 27.71 mills - cutting taxes for all residents and business.
According to Mayor Ben Blake, “these are unprecedented tax cuts. At a time when other communities are arguing over the size of a tax increase, Milford is debating how much less our taxpayers will pay than in previous years.”
