Victim Hospitalized After Hammer Attack: Milford PD

MILFORD, CT — A Bridgeport man was charged after he assaulted a victim with a hammer, according to police.

A victim was put into a headlock at Collegian Movers Nov. 5, police said. Isaac Matos, 30, argued with the victim, and then left the building.

Matos returned with a hammer and struck the victim several times in the head, police said. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Matos was charged with first-degree assault. Bail was set at $75,000.
