Vote Taken on Whether to Raze Historic Prospect Street House
Numerous residents opposed razing the house, which dates back to 1835.

MILFORD, CT — A historic house built by David L. Baldwin in 1835 and is located at 67 Prospect Street will not be razed, the Milford Mirror reports. The Milford Historic Preservation Commission voted unanimously Monday night to reject the developer's request.
The developer wanted to build 44 apartment units at the site. Baldwin served as a town clerk for 27 years. Local historians opposed razing the house because they believe some of the city's founding fathers are buried on the site.
An appeal is expected, the Milford Mirror reports.
