On Saturday, May 17 at 11 am Westport children's author Tommy Greenwald will talk about his Charlie Joe Jackson's book series and sign copies of the latest title, "Charlie Joe Jackson's Guide to Summer Vacation."
If you've read the first two books, you are well aware that Charlie Joe doesn't like to read. In fact, he will do just about anything to avoid it. However, school is over, summer has come, and Charlie Joe is looking forward to spending a few months at camp. Camp Rituhbukkee (pronounced "Read-a-bookie"), that is.
Mr. Greenwald incorporates zany humor, pop culture references and characters that young readers will readily recognize from their every day lives. Fans of "The Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and "The Dork Diary" series are likely to enjoy these books.
