Whole Foods Employee Fought Off Abduction Attempt: Milford PD
BREAKING: Police released new details about the reported abduction attempt Wednesday. The suspect grabbed the woman, police said.

MILFORD, CT — Milford police released new details Thursday about the attempted abduction reported near Whole Foods Wednesday. On Dec. 20, officers responded to Whole Foods, 1686 Boston Post Rd, for a complaint of a suspicious encounter/attempted abduction.
Officers met with a Whole Foods employee, a 19-year-old female, who stated that at approximately 12:45 p.m. she was concluding her break and walking back to Whole Foods from Goodwill (1712 Boston Post Road), police said.
She stated she was crossing the vacant lot between the two businesses (formerly 1698 Boston Post Road) and a large white SUV, similar to a Chevrolet Suburban or Tahoe, entered the lot from the Boston Post Road, police said.

She described the vehicle as being slightly dirty with road grime, police said. The male operator, an older white male with short gray hair, scruffy gray beard, medium build and wearing a white short-sleeve tee shirt asked the complainant for directions, police said.
She approached the vehicle to give the male directions and he reached out through his open driver’s side window and grabbed her arm, police said. She struggled to break free and had to strike the male’s arm with her soda bottle, police said.

She then ran inside Whole Foods and alerted her manager, police said. Adjacent businesses were checked for any camera footage (Chase Bank, Goodwill, People’s Bank) and were found to be negative at this time, police said. No other descriptors of the vehicle were available.
