Woman Charged With Robbery, Larceny At Milford Wal-Mart

MILFORD — A New Haven woman is facing multiple charges related to an incident at the Wal-Mart store on Boston Post Road in which more than $190 worth of merchandise was reported stolen.

Milford police earlier this week charged Ana Spellman, 45, of 266 State St., New Haven, with sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, third-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit third-degree robbery.

Spellman will appear in Milford Superior Court June 14 on a promise to appear.

According to police, the incident happened May 16 when police were called to Wal-Mart for a reported shoplifting incident.

Ultimately, Spellman was accused by police of stealing more than $190 worth of merchandise from their store.

In addition, police reported she was threatening to punch employees during apprehension.
