Woman Describes How She Shielded Her Child and Dog From Pit Bull Attack in Milford
The woman jumped to the ground to protect her 2-year-old child and dog.

Maureen Noyes maternal instinct kicked in, which led her to fall to the ground to protect her 2-year-old child and her dog Penny that were attacked by two pit bulls in Milford on Saturday afternoon at Eisenhower Park.
Noyes, who required four stitches, after she was bitten by the pit bull did an interview with WFSB 3 urging the owner of the pit bulls to come forward to learn if his dogs were vaccinated.
Noyes said she was walking in the park with her young child and dog, when the pit bulls appeared, one on a leash and one off leash.

The pit bulls began fighting her dog, and she jumped to the ground to protect her dog and her child and she was bit in the neck and face.
“I didn’t know I was bit at all. I really didn’t feel anything. I got up and saw blood on my son’s face, got worried and then realized it was coming from me,” Maureen Noyes told WFSB 3.

The dog’s owner is a male, who is described in his 30s with short dark hair, police said.
Police are asking anyone who knows the identity of the man who owns the pit bulls to call Officer Joseph Sikorsky at 203.878.6551.
Police are investigating the case.
Police stressed that Eisenhower Park has a fenced in dog park on the West River Street side, and the park has strict leash laws for people walking their dogs on the trails.
