Woman Refuses to Leave Milford Motel Room, Chooses to Be Arrested: PD

Milford police say the accused refused to leave her room five hours after check-out.

MILFORD, CT - A New Haven woman’s refusal to leave her Milford motel room five hours after check-out time drew a police response.

But unfortunately for the woman, the situated turned even worse as police allegedly found marijuana in her possession, police said.

Police said at 5 p.m. on March 5, officers responded to the Super 8 Motel on the report of an unwanted person.

Investigation led to the arrest of Brittaini Biggs, 28, of Winchester Avenue in New Haven, who is accused of refusing to leave the motel room five hours after check-out time, police said.

When police responded they asked her to leave the room or be arrested and she chose to be arrested, police said.

Further investigation showed Biggs allegedly had a small amount of marijuana in her possession, police said.

She is charged with criminal trespass and possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana.

She was released on a promise to appear in Superior Court, Milford on March 29.
