Woman Says She's An Off-Duty Cop; She Wasn't: Milford Police
Milford police said the woman accosted a driver near Walnut Beach.
MILFORD, CT — A Milford woman, Michelle Greenwood, 63, of Mathew Street, is accused of saying she was an off-duty police sergeant, police said. On April 28, police received a breach of peace complaint near East Broadway and Viscount Drive.
Greenwood is accused of yelling at the driver of a disabled motor vehicle for blocking the entrance to Walnut Beach, police said. Greenwood "falsely identified herself as an off duty police sergeant, provided a fake badge number, and told the motorist the police were on the way to arrest her for blocking the entrance," police said.
Greenwood is charged with impersonating a police officer and breach of peace. She was given a court date of June 15.
