Woman Stole Victim's Purse, Used Credit Card: Milford Police

MILFORD, CT — A Milford woman is facing theft and drug charges, police said.

The woman is accused of stealing a purse from a shopping cart at ShopRite in December. She then used the victim's credit card, according to police.

When police arrested the woman Feb. 11, they said she had drugs and drug paraphernalia at the time.

Jesse Steele, 39, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, and theft of a payment card, which is a felony.

Her bond was set at $10,000. She is scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court on March 13.
