Woman Struck, Killed By Vehicle In Milford: Police

A 60-year-old woman died after being struck by a vehicle which had crossed the center line of a road in Milford Friday evening, police said.

MILFORD, CT — A pedestrian walking on Herbert Street was struck and killed by a vehicle traveling on the wrong side of the road Friday evening, according to police.

Around 7:22 p.m., a vehicle traveling north crossed the center line and struck the pedestrian, who was on the westbound side of the roadway, police said.

The pedestrian was a 60-year-old woman from Milford. She was taken to Bridgeport Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, police said.

No charges have yet been filed, and the Milford Police Department Traffic Division is still investigating the collision.
