4/25/15 Spring Fling Dance at Monroe Congregational Church

Come to the Spring Fling Dance Fundraiser on Saturday, April 25 at Monroe Congregational Church (34 Church Street) from 7-10 pm. Tickets are $15 at the door.We will have a DJ, photo booth, baked goodies for sale, a raffle, and childcare for your children for $10 all night.

Each year, our church’s senior high youth group travels to volunteer with non-profits and community outreach programs outside of our home state of CT.

We have helped build homes, put a roof on a house, painted an entire church, worked in homeless shelters, soup kitchens, food distribution centers, cleaned up parks, built shelters for animals at a rescue facility, worked at a camp for people with disabilities, been a part of local youth programs, and run vacation bible schools.

We have traveled as far north as Milwaukee and as far south as New Orleans and this year we are headed to Buffalo, NY!

We stay with kind and generous UCC churches and sleep on fellowship hall floors, we eat peanut butter sandwiches for lunch. We live as green as possible and as modestly as we can.

Fundraisers like these help us raise money to get to our destination, provide healthy meals (we cook dinner every night) as our youth gain leadership and spiritual formation experiences that stay with them for many years to come.
