Interview Like a Presidential Candidate

Melanie Szlucha, Red Inc., brings her 15+ years as a hiring manager to help you get comfortable for your next interview. During Interview Like a Presidential Candidate, Szlucha uses clips from the 2008 Presidential debate at Hofstra University between then Senator Barack Obama and Senator John McCain to decipher the effective strategies the candidates exhibited that won voters’ trust and those that did not. Participants will experience how to prepare their sound bites prior to the interview and how certain actions may color opinions of a candidate. Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Library.
