Fresh Fest's mission is to facilitate a smoother, more successful transition to 9th grade, promote positive upperclassmen connections or mentors for freshmen, enhance the school's culture of tolerance and acceptance, and to develop student leaders. Activities include a tour of the facility, meet and greet with teachers, team building exercises, stress-buster suggestions, a Club and Sports Fair in the Media Center, and the opportunity to try out lockers.
Lunch is provided by Sodexo.
Students must wear sneakers and comfortable clothing. They will be given a Fresh Fest tee-shirt to wear during the program.
Attendance at Fresh Fest is not mandatory, but strongly recommended. In past years, there has been nearly 100 percent class participation.
