Dr. Gary Rose is the Chairman of the Government & Politics Department at Sacred Heart University where he has been faculty since 1982.  He was named the 2011 Connecticut Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. Dr. Rose recently published his 11th book entitled Connecticut's Fourth Congressional District: History, Politics, and the Maverick Tradition.  His interests and research lies in American Politics, the American Presidency, Constitutional Law and Political Parties.
