First Niagara Names New First Vice President to Fairfield County Business Banking Team

First Niagara Financial Group, Inc. appoints Steven Hoffman to First Vice President, Business Banking Team Leader ffor Fairfield County

First Niagara Financial Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: FNFG) has announced the appointment of Steven Hoffman to First Vice President, Business Banking Team Leader for Fairfield County. Hoffman will be responsible for overseeing a team of Business Banking Relationship Managers who manage accounts with annual revenues of $5 - $25 million.


Hoffman and his team will be working with businesses in Fairfield County to present First Niagara’s wide array of financial products, services and resources that are available to them. He will maintain an office in Norwalk and will report to Robert Cerminaro, Senior Vice President and Market Executive for First Niagara’s Tri-State Region and Corporate Banking Team Leader.
“With more than 30 years in the banking industry, Steve brings to the table a level of knowledge and expertise that we are confident will help expand the development of commercial businesses in Fairfield County,” said Cerminaro.


Prior to joining First Niagara, Hoffman served as Senior Vice President, Business Banking Area Manager at Citibank, where he oversaw the development of a team of business banking relationship managers. He has also held similar positions at M&T Bank and Wachovia.

“I have lived and worked in the Greater Fairfield County area for more than twenty years, and look forward to bringing my professional experience in this area to help our prospective and current clients find the financial solutions that work best for their growing businesses,” said Hoffman.


Hoffman earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Fordham University. He currently resides in Nanuet, New York
