More Details Released in the Shooting Death of a Former Monroe Resident: Report

Thomas Infante, of Shelton, is accused of shooting his wife as she lay in her bed on Sept. 27, 2015.

MONROE, CT-- A hearing has been set for May 4, 2016 for the Shelton man charged with murdering his wife in 2015. according to court documents.

Thomas Infante was arrested last September for allegedly murdering his wife 52-year-old Lisa Infante, court records show.

According to police, the couple was going through a divorce. Police said during the argument, Infante shot and killed his wife. He allegedly fled the scene but later turned himself in to Shelton police, The Connecticut Post reports.

The Connecticut Post reported that Lisa Infante worked as an emergency medical technician with Echo Hose and Trumbull EMS.

Thomas Infante was nearly fired from his job as an equipment operator with the Town of Trumbull due to violence in the workplace, The Post reported.

Court records show he has pleaded 'Not Guilty' to the murder charge, a Class A felony. He is being held on $1.5 million bond.
